Everyone there was very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. My car was totaled, and I was a little intimidated talking with a couple of other lawyers in Greenville. But with Christian and Christian, not only did they answer my questions, but they did so in a way that made what could have been a hectic situation, easy. Overall, an excellent experience with high quality lawyers who truly go above and beyond and really try to get you the results or answers you need.

I met Josh like 4 years ago when my Son was injured at Daycare. He was very concerned about the well being of my Child and Me. Very Understanding Professional and Just a great Staff. If You need a Lawyer that’s all about YOU this is the Place. I just closed a Case on 6/23/2021 from a injury on a Property. They handled everything because no one else would help Me. I’m forever grateful for Your hard Work and Time. Once again Thank You Josh and Sally.

My husband was referred to this law firm from another lawyer after his mother passed away while residing in a nursing home. Matt took on his case and we are pleased with how everything turned out. It took a long, long time to finally settle, but it was worth the wait. The staff here is friendly and I’d be happy to recommend them to anyone needing legal assistance.

I was referred to Harold by a family friend, and I couldn’t be happier. He took the time to listen to my case, answered all my questions and truly treated me like a friend not a client. His knowledge of medical malpractice is priceless he actually successfully won, one of the first medical malpractice cases in Greenville County.

      South Carolina Medical Device Attorneys

Did you know that thousands of people suffer from personal injuries or illnesses related to faulty medical devices each year? We’ve all heard commercials about certain medical device products claiming you could be eligible for financial compensation or to check recall status on certain product lines, but our Greenville SC law firm is well-versed in medical device lawsuits and is confident in winning every medical device case we take. While not close to the number of faulty devices discovered in the past decade, here is a list of specialty cases that we’ve taken on over the past couple years that we want our clients to be aware of…

      • Philips CPAP Machines
      • Paragard IUD
      • Breast Implants
      • Metal on Metal Hip Implants
      • Hernia mesh devices
      • IVC filters

So, what are these medical devices and how have they harmed consumers? Learn more about each device below:

      CPAP Machines

A CPAP machine was designed to help people battle sleep apnea so they could breathe throughout the night. In speculation, these CPAP machines were also used to help COVID-19 patients breathe while hospitalized. The FDA recently recalled the used of some Philips CPAP ventilators due to an illness-causing foam that is embedded within the machines to help dilute the sound and vibrations of the machine while in use. Have questions? We have answers here.

      Paragard IUD

The Paragard IUD is a copper birth control device shaped like a T and is marketed to be 100% hormone free. Unfortunately, some women using this particular product have had complications during removal, which caused the IUD to break and inflame the uterus, which is toxic to fertilization.

      Breast Implants

Textured breast implants were the cause of this lawsuit as they were marketed to the recipient as having less likelihood to puncture or collapse. If you’ve had complications of textured breast implants and feel you were misled by your doctor or the product, our Greenville SC team can help!

      Metal Hip Implants

As we grow older, some consider the possibility of hip implants to improve mobility. A hip replacement is one of the hardest and most invasive surgeries that exists. For those whom received the MicroPort Prefemur Modular-Neck Hip implant, that couldn’t be more true. This particular system was a metal-on-metal hip implant which featured a modular neck. Some of those modular necks were found faulty, which resulted in failed hip replacements.

      Hernia Mesh Devices

Hernia mesh devices are meant to protect the area of the body that has experienced a hernia by being implanted into the patient. During surgery, some people found that the mesh device was poorly placed and caused ripping and moving of the hernia. While this is a major surgical error, it could be a result of a faulty hernia mesh device, giving you two reasons to pursue financial compensation.

      IVC Filters

An IVC (inferior vena cava) filter is a small wire device that resembles a spider and is placed into the inferior vena cava to prevent blood clots from entering the lungs. These are a common alternative to blood thinners and are used on roughly 250,000 patients every year. These devices are mostly safe, but have rare side-effects that could cause fatal conditions, particularly models like the Bard Recover and Celect & Gunther Tulip devices from Cook Medical.
